Student Guide
Learn the student role in Worst Class Ever: choose prank opportunities, blend with NPC classmates and use confirmed demo movement changes thoughtfully.
Mischief creates the risk
Students are not simply hiding until the round ends. The game asks them to cause trouble while the teacher tries to find them among NPC classmates. Snacks, notes and phone use are the core examples in the official description. That creates a trade-off: an action can advance the student side while also giving the teacher something to notice.
For a first session, choose actions you understand and watch what changes when you perform them. A complicated sequence copied from an old clip is less useful if you do not know which part of it actually exposed the player.

Blending in is a moving target
NPC students were made more deceptive in Demo 0.1.7. The October 23 update expanded their behaviors after leaving their seats. Together, those changes make a simple “moving student equals human” rule unsafe.
As a student, think about the surrounding activity rather than only your own character. When are several classmates moving? Is the teacher looking toward your part of the room? Are you repeating the same conspicuous route? These are questions for choosing a safer moment, not promises that copying an NPC animation makes you invisible.
The current notes do not establish an exact disguise meter or list a guaranteed sequence of movements that defeats detection.
Movement options you can actually check
The October 21 demo update added crawling between desks and chairs and made classroom back doors openable. The October 23 patch allowed students to leave seats while holding items. Older advice that requires you to stay seated with an item, or assumes all back doors are permanently closed, may therefore be obsolete.
Try one movement option at a time using the bindings shown by your build. Learn where it takes you before relying on it during a chase. An openable door is an additional route, not evidence that crossing it wins the round. Crawling is also not described as granting invulnerability or immunity to chalk.
Use items with a purpose
Decide what you need an item to accomplish before spending it: add mischief, interrupt the teacher’s observation, or support another student. The October 17 update explicitly made balloon hits on the teacher add mischief value. That is a documented interaction; its exact point award was not supplied.
Item supply is not constant across every group. Demo 0.1.9 made spawn probabilities depend on student count, and the October 16 update had already reduced special-item frequency. Avoid treating a gadget-heavy clip as a guaranteed inventory for a fresh match.
Our item guide separates named equipment from effects that still need a current-build check.
When a teammate is caught
Rescuing captured students is part of the documented demo balance. The October 16 notes increased rescue time when more students are present. A rescue that felt quick in a small lobby may expose your group for longer in another session.
Before attempting one, consider who is still free, where the teacher is, and whether your teammates understand the plan. Do not assume a captured student can continue normal interactions: the October 21 patch specifically fixed interaction while caught or tied up.
After a round, pick one mistake to correct. Timing, route choice and unnecessary repetition are more useful learning targets than assuming the teacher somehow knew every player’s identity.
